Strada del Barolo and Great Wines of Langa — Attraction in Castiglione Falletto

For anyone looking to experience the heart of the Langhe region on foot, the hike from Strada del Barolo and Great Wines of Langa is an absolute must. We parked our car at Enoteca Vite Colte and started our journey from there.

The path is easy to follow and incredibly scenic. We walked along a narrow trail that took us through stunning hazelnut fields and vast vineyards, with beautiful views all the way to Barolo. The walk to Barolo took us about 45 minutes at a relaxed pace.

After exploring the village, we took a different parallel path on our way back, which gave us a new perspective of the landscape. The entire round trip took us around 2.5 hours. It was a very manageable hike, even for families with kids or strollers.

La SP 9 inizia a poca distanza da Alba (regione Uccellaccio) e termina vicino a Dogliani. Una manciata di chilometri che, presa quota dal fondovalle, regalano scorci meravigliosi sulle colline circostanti e sui bellissimi vigneti. Strada ben accessibile e con poco traffico, ideale per ciclisti, camperisti e turisti in genere. Vale la pena fare una piccola deviazione per visitare Castiglione Falletto, piccolo e grazioso borgo dominato dal castello. Da questo paese, un percorso in falsopiano porta a Monforte d'Alba, crocevia di strade: verso Sud si arriva a Roddino, altro bel borgo, verso Nord si possono raggiungere i paesi di Barolo, La Morra, Novello... altri luoghi incantati. Infine, verso Ovest, si scende a Dogliani, altro borgo da visitare... già in pianura, ma le colline dei grandi vini sono lì, a un tiro...
