Spiaggia di Vindicio — Attraction in Formia

The water is clear and the temperature is very pleasant during the warmer months. During colder months the beach is really unkempt and dirty. Dog poop everywhere. Unfortunately the side walk is also full of dog poop because the majority of owners don't pick it up. And too many flies. It's sad because the beach could be so beautiful.

Update May 2024: the public beach it's still very dirty. Sand is filled with bottles, napkins etc. Even the water now has trash. Turist season is not open yet, so the city residents are the ones doing the littering. The "lidos" have cleaner sand, they clean it with machines and throw the dirt in...

The beach can be enjoyable if you are on an organized establishment, but not so good in free part of the beach which are crowdy even from June, sand is full of small rocks, water is not very clear. The beach is notoriously windy, in fact this is a well know wind surf spot. The beach is on the average, there's better and there's worst, I suggest to visit it just if you want to relax at a beach club, dining on the beach, and not spend too much, but if you want to really enjoy good clean water and great spacious beaches, go up...

Sono stato con la famiglia diverse volte questi due mesi e ho potuto costatare pregi e difetti. La mattina acqua cristallina ma il pomeriggio capita, difficile, ma capita che acqua un po’ schiumosa, di converso pero la temperatura dell’acqua è gradevole, cosa che non si trova in Calabria. Lo scenario è da cartolina , oltre la spiaggia, che è libera, si noleggiano ombrelloni e sdraio a 10 euro, e si aggiunge una comodità di un bar attrezzatissimo per colazioni e pranzo affianco a una bellissima pineta attrezzata di giostrine e dotata di una freschissima fontanella di acqua potabile. Conclude questa spiaggia una lunga scogliera che offre la possibilità di pescare per chi appassionato. Poi il pomeriggio invece si alza un gradevole venticello e il mare si riempie di Windsurf e piccole barchette a vela che arricchiscono lo scenario paesaggistico già notevole. Una spiaggia sicuramente da visitare e vi lascerà...
