Natiia Wine Relais (+14) — Attraction in Lazise

A group of our close friends were visiting and staying near Garda Lake so we decided to get together for dinner at this new restaurant that opened earlier this year. We arrived early and had the pleasure to do a little tour of the grounds first. I had heard about how beautiful it was but seeing it in person was mindblowing. They really created a zen-like paradise resort that feels like you've stepped into another part of the world away from any scent of tourism. I haven't stayed here overnight before, but from what we saw it would definitely be the kind of place I'd recommend to any friends or family coming into town wanting a luxe but very natural place to stay. ||||Back to our main purpose here, the restaurant! Osteria Natiia! I'll let the photos speak for themselves as food is a very visual experience. We were offered the choice between two prix-fixe tasting menus, one from the Orto Menu selections from their own on-site kitchen garden or the Terra omnivore selections from local providers as well as produce from their own kitchen garden. I chose the Orto, and my hunny chose the Terra. Every plate, one after another, was not only fresh, but prepared with a real respect for natutal flavors, contrasting textures, and honest essences of the gsrden's ingredients, There was another menu, a sort of today's options side menu that you could choose from to swap an item or two from the tasting menu you chose. ||||The wine selection was interesting, although we went with the property's own Rosé, I think this one was made purelt from the grapes of their own vineyard. Everything about our experience there was so special, from the kindness, grace and humor of our server, to how cozy and modern was the restaurant with huge picture windows facing the sunset, to how everyone of our friends felt so at home and had such a great time together. ||||We were a large group of 10 and they had a large round table for us which made such a difference as we could all share in the same conversations so easily. In the other seating area there were lots of cozy tables for 2, 4, etc. There's also a long viewing window to see the kitchen staff at work, which always adds to the feeling of enjoying your surroundings.||||I can't wait to return to Natiia next month, we've already made plans to go out on a date night, this time just the two of us. :) Anyway, if you're travels include a stay at Garda Lake be sure to take a moment to treat yourself to this creative and sustainable place for a wonderful dinner or two. It also seems like a wonderful place to stay a few days to enjoy the lake--even if your a local in a nearby city, this could make a perfect weekend...

Our Experience – A Truly Wonderful Stay

We felt completely at home here! The place itself is absolutely beautiful, with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and a perfect location by Lake Garda.

The food was exceptional – the breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired, and the eggs à la Benedikt were simply outstanding. Benedikt himself we’ll never forget – truly a highlight! We were also impressed by the incredibly delicious selection of fresh juices, something really unique and special.

What touched us most, though, was the staff. So professional, warm, and genuinely caring – it’s something we haven’t experienced in a very long time. Every single team member was a true hospitality professional, and you could feel their passion in everything they did. Such friendliness and attention to detail are rare these days – just wow!

If we could make one small suggestion, it would be to include a bit more fresh vegetables at breakfast – that’s the only thing we missed.

The surroundings are breathtakingly beautiful, with amazing views all around. We would also love to see more of the winery’s story being shared with guests – perhaps a glass of sparkling wine from your own vineyard at check-in, along with a short introduction to the wines. That would be a lovely touch, especially since the wines we enjoyed at dinner were truly excellent!
