A Memorable Evening of Delightful Dining at Restaurant Pizzeria La Boheme
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant Pizzeria La Boheme, and I must say that it was an enjoyable and memorable experience. The restaurant's cosy atmosphere and spacious seating made it an ideal choice for our dinner, especially since we were accompanied by three small children. Overall, the evening was filled with great food, pleasant service, and a few minor areas for improvement.
Upon perusing the menu, we eagerly decided to try the sea shells and the 30-month-aged prosciutto with buffalo and bruschetta. Both dishes were excellent and showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen at Restaurant Pizzeria La Boheme. The flavours were rich and satisfying, leaving us wanting more. The wait staff were attentive and knowledgeable, and one of the waiters recommended a bottle of Ca' La Bionda wine, which complemented our main courses perfectly.
While most of the dishes surpassed our expectations, there were a couple of minor hiccups. The ribs, unfortunately, were a bit dry and could have benefitted from a bit more moisture and tenderness. However, the king prawns were prepared flawlessly, delivering a delightful burst of flavours with each bite. It's worth mentioning that the dessert options for the kids were superb, adding a sweet touch to the end of our meal.
One area that could be improved upon is the consistency of the service. Throughout the evening, we had the opportunity to interact with three different waiters. While all of them were polite and professional, it would have been more convenient and comfortable to have a single point of contact. This slight inconvenience aside, the overall service was commendable, and the staff at Restaurant Pizzeria La Boheme demonstrated a genuine desire to ensure our dining experience was a pleasant one.
In conclusion, our visit to Restaurant Pizzeria La Boheme was an extremely enjoyable one. The cosy atmosphere, spacious seating, and accommodating staff made it a suitable choice for dining with children. The food was delectable, with standout dishes such as sea shells, prosciutto, and king prawns. The wine pairing suggested by our waiter further enhanced the dining experience. Although the ribs were slightly dry, the exceptional dessert options compensated for any shortcomings. With a bit more consistency in the service, Restaurant Pizzeria La Boheme has the potential to become truly exceptional. I highly recommend giving it a try for an evening of...
Read moreI would be unfair to give this restaurant zero stars, because even though it was the worst dining experience we have ever had, the food was decent, most of the waiters and waitresses were nice, and the restaurant itself was beautiful, but (I hate buts!) The waiter who took our order was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He screamed at us, rolled his eyes, and made us feel unwelcome. He also ignored our requests, and we got our dishes an hour later! I don’t know if he had a problem with me being the only dark-skinned woman in the restaurant, or if he just had a bad attitude, but it was unacceptable and offensive. When I asked for the manager, the man at the counter said he would call him, but then he pretended to be the manager himself and even though he listened to my complaints, it was so obvious that nothing was going to be done about it. It was a terrible experience, and I will never go back to this restaurant again. I advise everyone to avoid this place at all costs unless you want to be treated like garbage. This restaurant does not deserve your money or your time. There are better options in Lazise with amazing food, where you are treated with respect and are not...
Read moreA nice place to eat with a beautiful garden at the back with play area and fish pond. However I'd recommend booking ahead as, without a reservation on a busy night, we were asked to wait in the garden and order drinks until a table became available. We waited an hour and a half for a table, and of course I can't blame the restaurant for us not having booked ahead on a Saturday, but getting drinks was unnecessarily difficult - the serving area, which looked exactly like a bar, wouldn't take drinks orders after ignoring me for ages: I had to order from the welcome desk (who were already busy with a queue of guests) then take a ticket back to the serving area, got shoo'd around to the other side of the serving area - took 15 minutes in all to get drinks.
After being seated, service was attentive and fast, though one of the orders had been forgotten and came out late after re-ordering, so I ended up eating alone. Food was okay and a decent price, though the bread for the table was stale.
All in all, not a great experience, but would have been much improved if we'd...
