Attended a recent wine tasting with family and friends on day 2 of a wedding celebration.
Appalling customer service.
From the moment we arrived there was no welcome greeting, and we were faced with two cold shoulders for the remainder of the event.
The tables were laid out very nicely with glasses and some plates and bread. That was the height of our good experience.
There was no explanation that we were to keep said glasses for the whole event. The staff became annoyed as people moved glasses around. Communication was very bad throughout the whole event.
There were 2 young kids in attendance with us, no soft drinks or juices offered to them. The staff were annoyed that kids were running around, cutting short their explanations of each wine because they were playing with the foozball table located in the venue. Why have this for kids entertainment when you do not want it to be used? There was also baby changing facilities but no baby chairs.
When queried on the style of fermentations by one of the guests, the staff would not explain cutting short conversation.
Water on the table was empty and not topped up although it was sweltering outside.
There was tiny croutons of bread with two types of olive oil placed on the table, both on their own plates and very far apart meaning people were having to stretch and walk around to get pieces.
The staff stood at the bar for the whole event other than topping up the 4 wines that were very average.
At the end of the event the bride was told she was unable to to use the toilet facilities and to wait 15mins for the toilet to be cleaned before she could use it although the two staff stood cleaning glasses for that time. Our group and two people on the balcony were the only ones in the places so why would this matter. When the bride told them she could no longer hold it, the staff argued with her and told her she was "disgusting".
I feel sorry for what I believe was the owner going by in his little tractor with trailor filled with grapes who waved and beeped his horn for the kids. I would really rethink my staff after...
Read moreWe had an unforgettable stay at Azienda Agricola Valle del Sole from August 19-24. The house is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, making it feel both cozy and elegant. Everything was spotlessly clean, contributing to a comfortable and relaxing environment. The hospitality of the owner (Paolo) was exceptional, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. I would especially thank the owner Paolo for his hospitality and Lucca's Apartments and Villas staff (especially Renate) for arranging us such a special place and for their professionalism.
The views from the property are breathtaking, showcasing the magnificent nature of Tuscany. Waking up to such a beautiful landscape was a true highlight of our stay. The poolside area was also a great spot to relax and enjoy the scenery in complete tranquility.
A special highlight was the opportunity to experience wine-making firsthand, which added a unique and memorable touch to our visit. The only suggestion for improvement would be to enhance the lighting around the pool area. In the evenings, it was a bit too dark, which limited the use of this beautiful space after sunset.
Overall, we highly recommend this place for a peaceful and...
Read moreMe, my wife and our friend visited in early july. The wine produced here by Marco is fantastic, equally the olive oil is extremely tasty. Marco showed us around the vines giving great explanations of the different types of grapes and how to identify them, then showed us where he makes and ages the wine.
We then went on to taste a good selection of the wine including ebrius, linchetto and malie. All were awesome but the star was ebrius, although we did buy two of each and a 2001 Ebrius! Along with a few bottles of olive.
Marco was great describing everything about the wines to us and explaining all factors concerning wine production all over tuscany.
Definitely worth a visit, and will be returning for more wine when I'm next in...
