Terre del Sillabo — Attraction in Lucca

We were in Lucca for a month and went to several vineyards. Terre Del Sillabo was a stand out. Known for its white wines - it produces a particularly good Sauvignon. It is owned by a delightful couple, Gianpio and Clara who provided generous servings of all their wines both red and white along with focaccia. First of all, the wines. An excellent merlot. But the real stars are the outstanding chardonnay and sauvignon blanc, which are at the par with the best I have ever had.
