Fly2Fun Tandem Paragliding — Attraction in Malcesine

I’m so glad that I found this page! I jumped off a mountain with them in June of 2018 and it’s truly one of the delightful memories I have! I’ve just spent the last couple years in treatment for a very rare leukemia and remembering my experience in Malcesine is one of the things that has kept me fighting. While in the hospital for weeks during my stem cell transplant, I smiled fondly at the replay of that day in my head. I always tell people that I do not even ride fair or amusement park rides and I’m not fond of heights… and when I decided to “jump” that day, my ex (of 15 years) kept saying I would chicken out and waste our day! I somehow decided it was something I needed to do! I rode all the way up and was greeted by fog and the sweet animals in their natural mountainous habitat. It was absolutely breathtaking. I wanted to secretly build a wooden shack atop the mountain and live off the land for the rest of my days after only a few minutes after exiting the cable car! My pilot was the nicest guy and knew I was a bit scared for my life. He was as collected as could be and gave me any confidence I needed. My experience gliding through that misty air was genuinely the closest to heaven that I have ever felt in my soul. I was in complete tranquility during my time over the lake and admiring the beauty and the subtleties of the earth below. I was delighted that my feet made it back to the landing strip of grass but after I became human like again I realized that I would jump again and again. I told my ex, I would move there and learn how to become an instructor so I could jump three times per day in good weather! So, all this to say, do it. No, let your mind be truly free for a moment and just do it. And to your company, thank you. I booked two tandem flights—one for my mum and one for myself. The booking process via WhatsApp was super easy, and Giorgia responded very quickly to lock in the date we chose.

We met our pilots, Simone and Martino, at the meeting spot, and on the way up in the gondola, they answered all the questions we had.

At the launch site, they set up the equipment incredibly fast! My mum was quite nervous, but Martino (who even spoke German with her!) explained what we needed to do in a very simple and easy-to-understand way. The takeoff was perfect, and before we even knew it, we were already flying.

During the flight, Simone told me a lot about thermal effects, how the glider works, and everything else I was curious about. We even did some acrobatics, which was amazing! Martino and Simone also made sure we were flying close enough together so my mum and I could see each other and take videos of one another.

After landing, my mum told me she felt super safe with Martino and that he was very attentive to what she was comfortable with and what she wasn’t. They even did some acrobatic flying, and he let her steer the glider for a little while!

There are no words that can describe my paragliding experience over Lago di Garda but let me try my best: The view was absolutely amazing starting from ~1800 elevation. Our pilots (Fabio, Simone) briefed us with all necessary information after the cable car ride up and we took off right after we got to the launch spot. The paraglide ride was about 30 minutes long and breathtaking every second of it. I‘m very happy to have so many pictures/videos taken by my pilot Fabio to try to relive this moment if somehow possible. The ride itself felt like some peaceful sailing in the sky looking at mountains and above the lake. Upon my request we did some more spirals in the end, so much fun. Landing was super easy and I immediately wanted to go up again. The paragliding team was great. Very easy to communicate with and interesting stories on their year long flight experiences (Fabio has over 34years of experience). With their clear instructions, years of experience and the sensibel fun they have while flying, I was not scared in the air once.

I can truly recommend you to do this at least once...
