I was in Montalcino during the off-season (April), and I scheduled a visit to Riccardo's winery. I was the only person, so Riccardo and I spent over an hour one-on-one while he discussed his philosophy on winemaking and sharing how the micro-climates at his estate affects each vineyard individually and how he uses the various clones from each in his winemaking. He shared his passion wonderfully and explained how he (and the wine) have changed over the years. Read moreWe booked a visit to Talenti during our European trip. When we arrived, Riccardo the owner/winemaker was waiting for us. He welcomed us and gave us a full tour of his winery. He was approachable and shared with us his passion for his terroir and wines. We chatted together for 2 hours or so and concluded the visit by a tasting of his products.
