If you ever thought about going to the beach in Palermo, DON'T. This one is extremely dirty, full of trash and it literally STINKS. Terrible place to visit. We also met some local kids, throwing stones on tourists! Shame on the city officials, that they allow the beach look like this. Disgusting.

Spiaggia ampia e mista a sabbia e ciottoli. Mare profondo già a circa due metri dalla battigia. L'acqua è pulita e limpida, malgrado il divieto di balneazione...Mondello e Vergine Maria non sono poi così distanti da qui !! L'unica pecca è causata dalla maleducazione di chi la frequenta (ovviamente non tutti) che lascia la propria spazzatura sul posto anziché portarsela a casa! Una vera tristezza...mi auspico un prossimo recupero della costa sud, e un ritorno al suo splendore di un tempo, come mi raccontano gli anziani che l'hanno fruita prima della sua decadenza dopo il secondo conflitto mondiale.

If you ever thought about going to the beach in Palermo, DON'T. This one is extremely dirty, full of trash and it literally STINKS. Terrible place to visit. We also met some local kids, throwing stones on tourists! Shame on the city officials, that they allow the beach look like this. Disgusting.

L'acqua è pulita e limpida, malgrado il divieto di balneazione...Mondello e Vergine Maria non sono poi così distanti da qui !! L'unica pecca è causata dalla maleducazione di chi la frequenta (ovviamente non tutti) che lascia la propria spazzatura sul posto anziché portarsela a casa! Una vera tristezza...mi auspico un prossimo recupero della costa sud, e un ritorno al suo splendore di un tempo, come mi raccontano gli anziani che l'hanno fruita prima della sua decadenza dopo il secondo conflitto mondiale.

This place could be a lot nicer, but considering the fact that you are sunbathing only, it’s great! the locals pick up the trash every weekend, not a dump anymore. there is always garbage, but the beach is beautiful and smelly. if not for the view, it's worth coming here. at least the mayor of Palermo finally finds out that it was visited by tourists. don't let this beautiful beach...

This is not a beach but a place full of trash. You're also not allowed to swim here due to the pollution. It's a shame for Palermo that this place has been so abandoned by the inhabitants and authorities because it has a wonderful view and could become the La Barceloneta of Palermo! Of course this would require lots of cleaning and new infrastructure but I think it would...
