The entrance to the theatre area is a bit pricey in relationship to other locations, but it's obviously going to a good cause. I'm not sure if it's so weedy year around, but when we were there in April it was a bit wild and overgrown. The little museum has some great artefacts. I had never thought about them having glass vessels 2500 years ago!

Okay place, but somewhat faded glory. The theatre is nice, set in a green scenery (at least in November after a wet October) and the mosaic floors of the remains of the houses were impressive, but the place is in need of an update. The road signs were ´t clear, explanation of the sites were in Italian only, some wooden paths were in such rotten state they were closed off, there was no toilet paper in the rather unclean toilet room... A pitty, because the possibility is there!

Everything seems nice, only problem is the map, really difficult to understand which path goes where because there isn't enough signs, and clearly it wasn't only for us, met others tourists with the same problem, but still worth the visit. Don't forget to ask about discount for people who's age is 18-25:)

An amazing archeological site minutes walk from the sanctuary of Tindari. A small but complete sample of life in Roman times. Awesome views of the sea. Very much worth the Visit. Access to the main carpark and there's a bus every 15 min, so no need to climb up the hill. 2€ each return.

Posto incantevole e carico di storia! se penso, una cultura così antica dove aveva posto le sue radici. Peccato perché la sicurezza del luogo lascia molto a desiderare. In pratica il potenziale visitatore si trova a visitare una prima parte ben tenuta e descritta, e una seconda , dove si trova il monumento dedicato a Battiato, abbandonata e lasciata andare a se stessa. Chiunque potrebbe prelevare pezzi di mosaico o altro senza che nessuno se ne accorga, é un delitto! comunque ne vale la pena , la parte termale é quasi intatta.. dimenticavo li vicino ovviamente c'é il più famoso Santuario, con tanto di avviso degli orari di attività, attenzione li si osserva la pausa pranzo.!

Il teatro antico di Tindari è situato all’interno del parco archeologico di Tindari. Prezzo biglietto intero 6 euro, ridotto 3 euro. All’interno del parco vi è : Il teatro Greco, Le terme romane, l’insula IV, la Basilica (porta), Abitazioni con peristilio, edificio termale e gli ambienti per il bagno (frigidarium, tepidarium e calidarium) Vi è anche un Antiquarium dove vi sono reperti risalenti dall’età preistorica a quella romana. Purtroppo il percorso non è ben delimitato e si fa confusione, quindi consiglio di chiedere meglio indicazioni all’ingresso. L’unica cosa da non perdere è assolutamente la vista che da sul mare, imperdibile (lascio foto allegata).
