Calamoresca — Attraction in Piombino

If you want to break your feet, this is the place to go. The view is stunning but there are huge stones everywhere, including in the water.Not suitable for children or without wearing adequate footwear.

We paid €25 for 2 sunloungers. We tried to go in the water but the kids could not make it in because of the stones.5 minutes later we kindly and politely asked if we could get our €25 back as there was no point in staying. Their response was that we saw there were stones when we arrived, and refused to refund us. The stones were visible on the shore but we could not tell what was in the water. Una esperienza terribile. Siamo andati a cena ed eravamo poco meno di 40 con un menù concordato con delle scelte alla carta e in cui si vedevano solo i prezzi delle cose a scelta, niente vini, niente acqua etc etc … ognuno ha scelto pensando che avrebbe pagato un fisso per le cose uguali per tutti e poi quello che aveva scelto e per questo qualcuno ha scelto anche solo una portata anche in base alle proprie tasche. Ma sorpresa alla fine quando siamo andati a pagare ci è stato presentato un conto a testa di 80 euro indipendentemente da quello che ognuno avesse scelto e mangiato. Per altro il cibo non meritava assolutamente i pressi che sono stati proposti, tutto nella norma e niente di eccelso ne nelle portate e nemmeno nei vini, addirittura al uni hanno avuta servita la frittura dopo oltre mezz’ora rispetto ai primi che l’avevano mangiata. Insomma qualità medio bassa e qualità del servizio pessima … considerate che alcuni commensali hanno dovuto dire ai camerieri di servire prima le signore a partire dal prosecco di aperitivo iniziale! Non all’altezza delle aspettative e soprattutto per un conto salato. Tutti sono disponibili a pagare un prezzo alto a condizione che servizio e qualità del cibo lo siano altrettanto. Ero stato altre volte prima a pranzo ed era andata bene, ma ieri sera davvero pessima se non fosse stata per l compagnia della tavolata che ha salvato il tutto e fatto digerire l’esperienza negativa. Nice beach with lifeguard, the water is clean. There are sunbeds, which you can rent. There are rocks but they are not sharp, it is quite save. There is a bar with drinks (mohito 7€) and snacks (bruschetta with tomato 4€, hamburger 5€, caprese 6€) and you can also buy regular dinner but I dont remember prices.
