Dress code beware! 2 failed attempts to go to the restaurant here. The first day they were closed on a Tuesday, which is odd as normally restaurants are closed on a Monday. The second attempt they refused our group of 9 (doubling the number of people in the atmosphere lacking restaurant) because 1 person was wearing smart flip flops rather than shoes. This seems unnecessarily obnoxious for a golf club at lunch time when it's 35º outside. The restaurant is not fancy, it's just a veranda on the side of the building.
Wearing smart flip flops has not been an issue at any other restaurant in Rapallo. Rather than having spare shoes to help their guests, they ridiculously suggested buying some shoes from the pro shop for the meal (incidentally, the pro shop was closed).
The dress code on the website does not mention anything about shoes and they do not say anything when you book. How are you meant to know the rules if they are not published anywhere? Instead they point to their sign on the wall once you are stood inside the restaurant.
Meant to be good food but having spent 2 hours walking backwards and forwards in the heat and not being able to go, I won't be bothering again. I'd suggest you don't...
Read morePlayed 18 holes here today and it was a great experience. The course is challenging with a semi dry river bed featuring on several holes. The course weaves its way through the semi mountainous topography and the design you get some great views of the surroundings. Some great elevated tees give you a chance to open your shoulders but beware on the back 9 as the course becomes significantly more difficult from the 9th. But for a few thinly grassed fairways on the opening few holes it would have been 5 stars, but it must be difficult to maintain grass growth in the heat. The greens however were superb, true and subtle in places. The variety of mature trees lining the holes adds to the course and the backdrops in places are spectacular....

Most holes are fine distances for your average golfer. The Course privileges accuracy over distance much of the time. Beautiful vegetation and trees all around. Hole 18 is a tricky 3 over a river and with driving range to cross over. Changing room and shower facilities are great. Busy car park due to multi sport structure at the venue. Only down side is that no dogs on leads are allowed to tag along with...
