Trattoria La Sosta — Restaurant in Rapallo

Recommended by a local, this place truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the service was delightful. Our waiter spoke English and explained the menu and dishes to us, which we greatly appreciated given our limited Italian.

To start we shared the Russian Salad, which was a generous portion and very tasty, followed by beautiful homemade pasta tagliatelle with freshly made Pesto Ligure and Salsa Di Noci sauce that were so delicious. All washed down with a small bottle of the house white. And to finish we couldn’t resist sharing a pudding and opted for the torta which was a local cake and something we’d not had before, and it did not disappoint. We literally ate every last morsel on our plates from start to finish, it was that good!

We originally planned to drive to Portofino, but during our journey, we unexpectedly stopped here for a short break. To our surprise, we discovered a true "hidden gem".The food here was absolutely delightful, and the five of us enjoyed our meal immensely. Every dish was full of unique flavors and carefully crafted, exceeding our expectations!

The restaurant has a warm and cozy ambiance, making us feel right at home. A special mention goes to the service–the staff who attended to us were incredibly friendly and professional. From ordering to serving, everything was handled with great care and enthusiasm, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Each dish was prepared with thoughtfulness and creativity, from the freshness of the ingredients to the perfect combination of flavors. If we have the chance to return, we will definitely come back!

ITA: Avevamo programmato di guidare fino a Portofino, ma durante il viaggio ci siamo fermati qui per una breve sosta inaspettata. Con nostra grande sorpresa, abbiamo scoperto un vero "gioiello nascosto". Il cibo era assolutamente delizioso e noi cinque abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo il nostro pasto. The menu of 25€ was a perfect example of Italian cuisine. Home made pasta and pesto, vitello Tonato with sauce made by grandma i think. The desert made the menu complete.
