Torre Paola — Attraction in San Felice Circeo

Here in the winter months, tower was closed for visiting, but the view from the road of the Tyrrhenian sea was absolute beautiful and we caught the best sunset photos. Intense wind! Torre Paola,ubicata nel comune di San Felice Circeo, è un'antica torre di avvistamento sul mare situata sul lato ovest delle pendici del Monte Circeo, da cui si ha una ottima vista sulle dune che vanno in direzione Sabaudia. Forse è una delle viste sul mare più belle del Lazio. Purtroppo, da quando è terminata la sua funzione militare, è in stato di abbandono e chiusa al pubblico. Un vero peccato che al momento non sia previsto il suo restauro. Da Torre Paola ha origine una bellissima strada panoramica che corre sulle dune in direzione Sabaudia e si può arrivare fino al Lido di Latina. Questa strada costeggia da un lato un lago costiero salato e sull'altro lato c'è il mare di Sabaudia, che ospita ville private, diversi stabilimenti balneari ed attività di noleggio ombrelloni.
