Our stay at Corte Cariano villa and our experience at Brunelli Winery was the highlight of our trip to the Verona area. Alberto Brunelli was our host and he and his staff were so nice and welcoming. The room at the villa was exceptional and it was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The Brunelli wines are extraordinary and, although they are one of the smaller wineries in the area, this makes their wine even more appealing and exclusive. Alberto’s tutorial during the wine tasting explained every aspect of the production process. Even though we were unable to tour the winery ourselves due to a special event at the winery, Alberto spent extra time with me and my husband and went into great detail about their wines. As a result, when we returned to our home in Florida, we ordered 2 cases so that we could enjoy and reminisce about our wonderful visit to Brunelli. We highly recommend a visit to Brunelli Winery and its beautiful location in the Valpolicella region. You will not be...
Read moreVisited here recently to taste wine and stay over in one of the several apartments this family rent out. Not our first time here and it won’t be the last. Alberto, Martina and Laura are all extremely warm, friendly, and informative about each of the wines and the different vintages. Drinking wine during your stay as well as taking more home with you is a must. We have stayed in three different apartments now and they are all beautifully decorated, some are modern, some more traditional. They are all well equipped for you to cook and prepare your own meals. They include a fabulously generous starter pack with milk, teas, coffee, oils etc. hams, cheeses, snacks and of course wines to sample and enjoy at your leisure. The beds are very comfortable and everything is pristine . There are beautifully landscaped gardens in which to kick back and relax. All you have to do is sip your wine and listen to...
Read moreWorst wine tasting experience in Valpolicella region. The lady who was present in the shop was only interested to cash our 5 euros a person for the tasting. When I compare this to the tasting in other wineries where they gave us vapolicella classico, ripasso, amarone, recioto, olive oil and they didn't charge anything even they didn't know if we are going to buy something in the end it felt like a rip off even more. Some of the wines won medals but they tasted only mediocre in comparison with other wineries. The point is you may bail out from the tasting fee by buying 6 bottles, but it's very difficult to choose something that...
