Bagno Marino has offered us the best lido experience in the area - within one week of trying a different lido every day. We could find four spots under the fresh shade of the cave last minute for a fair price, just calling in the early morning to make the reservation - it would be nice to have the possibility to reserve online, this lack is part of the reason why I'm giving a 4 stars rating. The things we enjoyed most of the Bagno Marino are: the spectacular view and location in the middle of caves; no music played throughout the day; multiple, comfortable accesses to the water; inflatables platforms and kids attractions in the water from where you can sunbath or have fun jumping in the water; cabins where you can store and lock your belongings; a super efficient restaurant service which serves delicious yet traditional and local specialties; charging stations for your devices; lido staff could be a bit more friendly, restaurant staff was caring and attentive. Read moreLocation is gorgeous with plenty of parking available in a big lot just past the entrance! We learned upon arrival that the seats are assigned based off length of booking (monthly, weekly, etc.) as well as time you booked so book in advance for a better chance of a good seat but there’s a lot of long bookings that usually have the ‘better’ seats. Seat A on top deck is a gem if you can reserve that seat specifically! Attached is seating map to help when asking for reservation.
Bring your own towels!!!
Check in at small area just past the restaurant down the stairs.
Food is open around 12:45 but drinks / snacks available most of day! FYI you can get wine bottles on top deck to take to your seat but not bottom deck due to glass.
Bathrooms are available.
It’s absolutely beautiful and worth the visit! Transitions into a restaurant in the evening with tables along the lower decks - highly recommend a reservation for lunch & dinner times if you want a seat - table 7 is...
Read moreInstagram scam! I was there with my partner for a day at the beach (didn't try the restaurant).
It would warrant five stars for the location: the sea is beautiful and the place perched on the rocks.
However, service is so bad. Beware that the staff discriminates towards non-Italian people (all non Italian tourists were placed in the most unfortunate spots on the terrace further away from the sea). Paid 35€ for an umbrella to be seated next to the trash bins and the kitchen pipe exhaling nauseating kitchen smells all day. I was not informed that the spot I was paying for would be located right next to the trash, otherwise I would have not paid and gone elsewhere. To top it up, the kitchen pipe, at lunch time, exhaled ashes that dirtied the sun beds area and ruined my clothing and beach towel which, in spite of several washes, I had to throw away.
Also, the place is dirty and not well kept, and the staff generally...
