I wanted to buy wine to take back to my apartment in Pescheria and found Ca Lojera in Rovizza di Sirmione only 5.1 miles from me. I didn't have a GPS in the car, so it took me 45 minutes going there and 10 minutes coming back. It was worth getting lost and "stumbling" onto this wine lover's paradise. I met Alessandra, daughter of Mrs. and Mr .Tiraboschi and she very graciously introduced me to their inventory and gave me a tasting of the whites in which I was interested. I spent over an hour with Alessandra and it was a highlight of my one month stay in the area. The three whites I chose were all lovely and crisp with a dry mineral taste, reflecting the unique growing environment with the white clay soil.I bought three bottles thinking I would bring one home.
