Borghi di Lugana — Restaurant in Peschiera del Garda

We asked the day before, coming in person, for a specific table position and the request wasn’t met. We sat and waited well over twenty minutes to order, the menu isn’t the one on the photo currently. There was close to none veggie options. The waiter did let us know that there was a long waiting time however we still waited an hour to get served. We ordered fish that was burned therefore non edible, the staff didn’t apologise but tried to persuade us that “this is how they make it”. The pizza was dry, the fried fish wasn’t any good and they also managed to get a caprese ordered wrong. We also asked for a side salad which did not arrive. We also asked for two plates to share the food which nonetheless did not arrive. In the menu there also was none of the indications of the allergens, which is mandatory by law. Not good value for money, the stuff is also very rude. Must avoid! Siamo venuti il giorno precedente di persona a chiedere un tavolo in una posizione specifica, ma la richiesta non è stata soddisfatta. Ci siamo seduti e aspettato ben oltre venti minuti per ordinare, il menù non corrisponde a quello mostrato nelle foto. Non ci sono opzioni vegetariane, tranne la pizza alle verdure… Il cameriere ci ha informato che avremmo dovuto aspettare ma abbiamo aspettato più di un’ora per i primi piatti e due ore circa per i secondi. È arrivato il branzino che era bruciato e dunque non commestibile del quale i camerieri hanno cercato di dissuaderci che “è come lo facciamo noi”. La pizza era asciutta e sapida e sono stati pure in grado di sbagliare l’ordine di un’insalata caprese. Non è arrivata nemmeno l’insalata di contorno che abbiamo ordinato con il pollo. Abbiamo anche chiesto due piatti per condividere il cibo, che ovviamente non sono arrivati. Nel menu inoltre non c’era nemmeno la lista degli allergeni, che è obbligatoria per legge. Non vale i soldi...

A lovely welcoming restaurant with excellent food and friendly service.

We had a table in the sun (during dusk) and ate here twice. Fantastic pasta dishes and desserts.

The menu was limited for for our vegan, gf diner (i.e. just salads) but they were able to do an off menu gluten free fusilli pasta with pomodoro sauce.

I heartily recommend the linguine...

Wir waren vor genau einem Jahr schon hier essen und damals war es super! Hat alles gepasst! Essen, Service von feinsten!Jedoch scheint seit damals sich einiges verändert zu haben! Essen war nach wie vor sehr gut und preislich ok, jedoch war der Service eine Katastrophe! Wir haben nach dem Hauptgang ein Dessert bestellt auf das wir ewig warten konnten! Trotz nochmaliger Nachfrage war nach 1 Stunde immer noch nichts da, wir bekamen auch nichts mehr zu trinken und saßen wirklich blöd da! Als wir die Rechnung verlangt haben wurde ernsthaft gefragt ob sie das Dessert noch bringen sollen! 😡Vor einem Jahr gab es sowas nicht, leider hat sich das Restaurant zum negativen entwickelt und wir müssen uns leider den negativen aktuellen Bewertung anschließen!
