Orrido dello Slizza — Attraction in Tarvisio

spettacolare sito naturale mi ha lasciato senza parole e merita assolutamente una visita.

Il Percorso: L'orrido è attraversato da un sentiero ben segnalato e attrezzato, che rende l'esplorazione sicura e piacevole. Il percorso include passerelle, ponti sospesi e scalinate che permettono di ammirare da vicino le ripide pareti rocciose scolpite dal fiume Slizza. L'esperienza è resa ancora più emozionante dai numerosi punti panoramici lungo il tragitto.

Vegetazione e Atmosfera: Le pareti della gola sono ricoperte da una vegetazione lussureggiante, con felci, muschi e alberi che creano un'atmosfera fresca e ombrosa, ideale per una passeggiata estiva. Il contrasto tra il verde intenso della vegetazione e le rocce grigie è semplicemente affascinante.

Geologia e Formazioni Rocciose: Per gli appassionati di geologia, l'Orrido dello Slizza è un vero paradiso. Le formazioni rocciose e le stratificazioni geologiche visibili lungo il percorso testimoniano la lunga storia erosiva del fiume. È impossibile non rimanere colpiti dalla potenza della natura che ha scolpito queste profonde gole.

Cascate e Piscine Naturali: Uno dei momenti più incantevoli del percorso è rappresentato dalle cascate e dalle piccole piscine naturali. L'acqua cristallina del fiume Slizza crea suggestivi giochi di luce e riflessi, offrendo un'opportunità perfetta per una pausa rinfrescante. È difficile resistere alla tentazione di immergere i piedi nelle acque fresche e limpide.

Fauna Locale: Durante l'escursione, ho avuto l'opportunità di osservare una varietà di fauna selvatica, tra cui uccelli, piccoli mammiferi e insetti. Questo rende l'Orrido dello Slizza un luogo ideale anche per gli amanti della natura e del birdwatching.

Accessibilità: Il percorso è adatto a escursionisti di tutti i livelli, anche se consiglio di indossare scarpe adeguate e prestare attenzione in alcuni tratti più ripidi o scivolosi. La sicurezza è garantita, ma un po' di cautela...

This is a hidden gem (and free!). It's a beautiful hike along the gorge, and the water is stunning! There's a nice variety of trails. We brought our dog, and there were a few steel grating stairs, which wasn't always comfortable for his paws. Keep this in mind if you're bringing your dog 🐶 To reach the Orrido, you have to go down quite a few steps and then back up quite a bit. The hike itself is manageable! There's a small, free parking lot. We arrived around 10 a.m. (Thursday in September), and there were still a few spots available. Really nice place. One hour walk along the river. We met 5 people. It was worth travelling there from Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, it is not more than 30 min drive. We started next to the bridge for cyclists, but it's better to start next to the monument of a soldier and take the path on the right, down the stairs. Because in the heat it can be quite exhausting climbing up the stairs. Don't forget to wear proper shoes.
