Basileo Vini — Attraction in Tramonti

Wow, wow, wow! We absolutely loved our cooking experience with the Basileo family! It was a rainy day in Amalfi and my husband and I were looking for things to do when we came across Basilio Vini winery, we reached out day-of for a cooking class and got a response immediately to come for a dinner class. The family is so welcoming and creates an intimate experience with just you and the family as they teach you to make a local dish while tasting their amazing family wines. Aurelio and his mother, Maria, taught us to make homemade pasta with a sauce of yellow tomatoes from their garden. Maria also made us a Buffalo mozzarella fried in the leaves of lemons from their garden, and insisted on us tasting their homemade limoncello! We had a wonderful visit to Basileo vini and were very impressed by the hospitality we received as well as the quality of the wines. We visited with our 20 month old toddler and were warmly greeted by the owner Aurelio and his father when we arrived and welcomed in to visit their beautiful winery, which is over 4 generations old. We were very impressed by the beautiful wines they offered us to taste, all organic, biodynamic and hand harvested. My husband and I researched cooking classes and winery tours for hours when booking our tour in Southern Italy. We could not be happier with our wine tasting / vineyard tour/ and cooking class at Basileo in Tramonti. We had a private tour with the owner and his wonderful parents. We had the opportunity to see their vineyard, see how they made their wines, and make a delicious meal that we ate at the end. The wine is also excellent.
