Starting on a positive note Casa Brenna is a beautiful art hotel, with stunning pieces throughout the old home. The rooms are neat and tidy and the views are quite lovely depending which apartment you get.||The downsides, starting with location. Lenno is lovely but very quiet, there are only a handful of restaurants near the hotel and most are a 20 min walk away. The hotel isn’t actually in Lenno it’s about 15-20 mins on foot along quite a busy dangerous road. You can duck and weave through the back streets but there is one part that you must walk against the heavy oncoming traffic. Secondly I wouldn’t really call this hotel, there’s never anyone around to greet you on reception and getting a taxi or Uber to and from is impossible.||Finally, there are a lot of stairs. Most apartments have 2 flights of stairs inside, so to get to the bedroom or bathroom you need to go up at least 2 flights on a windy narrow staircase. Not at all practical with kids or older people. ||The staff were lovely and very accommodating. This is a lovely place to stay if you’re a young couple, but would not...

The lady who welcomed us gave us so much information about Lake Como and how to get around so we really appreciated that. The room didn't have much of a view, it is facing the main road so we kept our windows closed. ||||The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the Lenno Pier so it is not that close. But it is also easy to catch the bus from across the road to other parts of Lake Como if you wish to stay on this side...
