What can I say. This hotel was a last minute booking as we were passing through. Being close to the lake it was ofcourse considerably cheaper than Como of Bellagio.||We phoned ahead as were going to be late on arrival, we had been told by 8pm. They person disnt speak Snglish and found someone else who seemed to say it would be ok.||When we arrived, The hotel was located off a back street. Upon arriving it wasnt clear where to park, the ‘Hotel’ is a large Italianate house with a restaurant on the front. Going in i was advised to park beside a neighbouring property or that a staff member could swap car spaces with me. We checked in. It was obvious the hotel was incredibly dated. We were upstairs, there is no lift however only one flight of stairs. We went through a door beside the reception and up. There was no light so we used our phones in the dark.||The room itself was incredibly bare and basic. A bed, wardrobe/desk and a bathroom. No drink making facilities, hand wash, shower gel etc. no air con or fan. We had a balcony door, however upon opening discovered the balcony to be the restaurant roof with a few chairs on, and accessable to all the other rooms on the floor, so no way to leave the door/window open at night.||We went straight to bed. Were woken by construction men with diggers across the road at 7am, then silence from 7.30, Thanks!||In the morning a continental breakfast. Consisting of bread rolls, nutella croissants, museli and two plates of salami and cheese. As well as tea and coffee. Again incredibly basic. We ate a croissant and a bread roll and checked out.||It was very disappointing. The hotel is in a great location close to the lake, but it needs a...

Read morePros: The location is good, it's close to the lake (no lake view from the hotel) - 5 min walk to the lake. There are buses near the hotel or ferries to go to the centre of Como or Bellagio. Price / Quality is correct The food is home made but the portions are small
Cons: The shower is really too small At breakfirst there is not enough food for everyone The host was not smyling and not welcoming.
Be careful if you plan to take the bus, hours on google map are not correct, it is better to check hours on...
