The waterfall is situated on the right-hand side of the road while travelling from Mahabaleshwar to Panchgani. There are small signboards indicating the directions to the waterfall. However there are two such signboards. We took the first one and faced a narrow patch where only one vehicle can ply. A gentleman told us about the second one little bit ahead. So we came back to the main road and after a short distance reached the second signboard where it was mentioned the distance as 100 metre. Driving on that road we reached the ticket counter where we paid entry fee of 20 INR per head. There is a parking lot near the entrance. After a short walk from the ticket counter there is a rivulet with water sport activities and zip lining. From that point there are two trails. The trail to the left is only a few metres long and takes to a beautiful small waterfall called mini waterfall with a large pool of water. The trail to the right which about 1 km long takes to viewing point of the main waterfall. The trek is very well built and maintained. Though there are lots of steps, it is an easy trek with gentle ascent and descent. The forest on either side of the trail is quite dense and forms a canopy above the trek making it very pleasant. The view of the valley below with the Vena river flowing between the mountains is amazing. The main waterfall which falls from a height of 500 feet has three stages. The waterfall becomes visible about halfway of the trek. But the final view point reveals the full glory with all three stages of the fall visible making the trek totally worthwhile.

The addition of a ropeway adventure sport made it even more exciting. There is also a big waterfall to view you have to.walk.more inside forest Pros: * Stunning Views: The waterfall was a sight to behold, with its powerful flow and the surrounding natural beauty. * Refreshing Water: The cool, refreshing water provided a welcome respite from the heat. * Monsoon Magic: The monsoon season was the perfect time to visit, as the waterfall was at its peak and the greenery was lush. * Ropeway Adventure: The ropeway offered a thrilling and unique perspective of the waterfall. Cons: * Entry Fee: The entry fee seemed a bit steep, especially considering the steep approach road. * Steep Approach: The steep downward slope leading to the waterfall might be challenging for some visitors, especially on the way back.

Lingmala Waterfall is visited by thousands of tourists every year as it is one of the best places to visit in Mahabaleshwar. The waterfall is situated on the right-hand side of the road while travelling from Mahabaleshwar to Panchgani. There is a small signboard indicating the directions to the waterfall. One has to take the left turn on a narrow road from the signboard. Drive for around 10 minutes and reach the entrance of the falls. From the gate, one has to walk for 1.5 km to reach the smaller waterfall and 2.5 km to reach the main waterfall. There are a lot of stairs en route to the lower deck, so the trek can be a bit tiring, but the route and the views are totally worth it. It takes about 30 minutes from the entrance to reach the lower waterfall. The best time to visit is from July to October when the waterfall is at its peak flow. The waterfall can be dangerous in the rainy season, so it is not at all advisable to swim. Timings: 8 AM to 4.30 PM , Entry Fee: Rs. 15 for Person

The waterfall point is also a part of the various tour packages you can opt for when traveling to Mahabaleshwar. Coming to the same as a tourist spot itself, the views are breathtaking. We visited the same recently, and as there was plenty of rainfall, we got the privilege of seeing the waterfall in full force. The best part being the entire area has clouds looming over the waterbody, making the entire area covered with mist. But the entire area is serene, filled with lush green vegetation, with the waterfall cutting in from the mountain slope. The car generally goes to the point where you can see the waterfall by walking a few steps. The best time to visit is during the peak monsoon season. However, the waterfall can generally be seen from July end to December. All in all, this is a must-visit place if you are on tour to Mahabaleshwar. The serene surroundings with the misty atmosphere due to clouds and the waterfall gushing down is an absolute visual treat to the eyes.
