On January 29th, I stopped at Thatch Hill River Park. My friends brought me to this attraction to relax my mind from all the things that were bothering me, and that was the best decision I have ever made. When I reached the attraction, a female staff member came to greet us and direct us on where to park our vehicles. The landscape was well kept and the water was very cool, and I was extremely satisfied. This attraction is excellent for organizing events like parties due to its big landscape. Additionally, it's a good spot for camping, picnics, and even outdoor games. Their professional lifeguards kept a watch on visitors while stationed at specific spots, and they also offered advice on the water's depth and where not to go. Despite the fact that I skipped the zip line and water tube. People kept moving back and forth with smiles and laughter on their faces, so I knew it was enjoyable. I like that they offer a package in which you must make reservations in order to have lunch.
Despite all the wonderful qualities about Thatch Hill River Park, the road leading to the attraction is rather terrible, so be prepared for a bumpy trip. Due to the large number of vehicles in the parking lot at the time, parking space was scarce. The restroom was also a little too small for the number of visitors they would expect throughout the day, so I wasn't as amazed as I should have been. Overall, Thatch Hill River Park was a remarkable experience for me, and I would recommend it to anyone because I know there will be no regrets. Additionally, please leave a comment on my review if you have any queries about Thatch Hill River Park and I will gladly get...
ย ย ย Read moreThe park is very spacious and beautiful, the water is clean and cold and you can see that the owners take good care of the place. However, I have a few issues. Firstly, the steps we took to the water had a sunken drop that led to rock which split one of my toes open, no sign was there indicating this and no support was there to hold to pass the last step. Not to mention that atleast the area where we were was extremely rocky and wearing a water shoes is a must! I had to be helping strangers while in the water for the drop at the steps and the rocks thereafter. And if you don't like crowds, DO NOT go on weekends! Other people made the experience less enjoyable; the good spots were taken, both in and out of the water, loud ghetto people decided to park themselves right beside my group and didn't know how to act. Even so I still think this a beautiful and picturesque location if visited during...
ย ย ย Read moreThatch Hill River Park is a beautiful spot that's worth the drive across some muddy terrain. Just a bit past Blue Hole in St Ann, this place has a wide open field, a river, rafting (nothing fancy, but it's an experience with a modest cost of $500/person), and bathroom and changing facilities.
The owner Brittany does an excellent job of welcoming visitors while reminding us of the health protocols to follow to protect against Covid. The park also has designated spaces for each group (which make reservations beforehand), so the groups are able to physically distance from others while still interacting amongst themselves.
Life guards are stationed around the park, and strong swimmers are allowed to swim the entire length of the river - even its deepest part - under the watchful eye of these custodians.
Overall a great venue and a great experience that blends safety and satisfaction just...
