Lovely massive park. Lots of areas for walking, bird watching, having a picnic and seeing all the trees and flowers. The park is extremely well tended and has a fantastic array of flowers. There was a road of sakura that was just coming in to bloom and still some tulips in bloom when we were here.
There are 2 playgrounds here for kids. Both are pretty big with various olay areas but are maybe feeling a bit old now. The kids forest playground is quite interesting, big concrete blocks with climbing frames and slides inside. The kids enjoyed that one more than the traditional play ground by the entrance.
Worth a visit, even if it's only a stop on the way to somewhere else. Primary Kids can enter for free. 450 yen for adults and 210 yen...
