Went to this place 2 weeks ago and rented the family hut/ private onsen (Ogiyama). The set up was nice. Water good. However, the floor of the onsen tub was extremely rough. Very rough sand (cement) and stones were used throughout. It was like sitting on grit 40 sand paper on our bare bums!
Why they didn't use finer sand cement like other onsens? Use rough surface tiles to prevent slippage.
The back wall if open to a small private courtyard would have been extremely pleasant. Letting some natural light in.

Nice enough place, not sure I’d recommend. The private huts are maybe not worth it. Fluorescent lighting, and small, and the bath was small, shallow, and a bit more on the tepid side. Be forewarned that you need to bring your own towels or buy some for about 8USD, that do smell like the plastic they come in.
