It's a small flower field, but what surprised us is that there was the unique addition of ATVs or golf cart rides around the field! It was 800en for 2 people on an ATV(one person driving and one person on the back) to take one trip around the circle(around 3minutes). Although short, it was one of the highlights of our trip! But on the upside, the sunflower fields were fantastic, it was pretty quiet (and it was a Saturday), there was free parking and free entry, we didn't have to wait for a cart (it was 2000 yen for 15 minutes), and there was no one else driving around, so we could stop on the track and take photos. I didn't know as I always thought of Hokkaido as a cow and snow kind of place but during my travels around Hokkaido, I found many many flowers in bloom.
One great place to see these flowers is Zerubu Hill. The flowers were blossoming in full during August and could easily be seen even from the car park.
Parking was free which was nice and and viewing the flowers was also complimentary.
