I booked this room through another online reservation. It seemed to be a nice homey style setting while in fact it was true for the owners' hospitality but not quite for the overall facilities. We paid Y63,000 a night for a quadruple room with private shower on the lower floor. Fortunately, we didn't have to pay more for the towels. The room was spacious with five beds and well equipped with kitchen appliances, washer/dryer but none of the latter is useful for us. On the other hand, thing we appreciated most was the strong WiFi in our room. We woke up not by the chirping sound of bird but by the banging noise of the common toilet/bathroom just outside our door. The breakfast is limited of choice and amount unlike other hotels in Hokkaido but the quality was good. The view at this location is nice and breathtaking. We were impressed by the view and the owners' hospitality but not the facility and the...
Read moreWe were here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is charming and spotlessly clean. The owners were both very nice and accommodating. We drove from Chitose airport to Biei, and arrived at the cottage at past midnight, which was much later than anticipated. Our hosts very kindly waited to let us in, which made our arrival very welcoming. ||After arriving in the dead of the night, we woke up to a beautiful view of a colourful garden bed and very green fields beyond. The location of this cottage is excellent and the surrounds picturesque. The popular Ken & Mary tree is right outside the property. It is a short drive to many other popular attractions. ||Our breakfast was substantial, with some tasty bread with local cheese (which Hokkaido is known for), fruits and sausage. The room was adequately furnished with sufficient heating and amenities. We would recommend this place for a...
Read moreWe stayed at this pension for 3 nights as all accommodation were full for the summer and must admit it turned out to be one of our best stays during the summer. Though we had to share bathrooms, the pension was very clean and well maintained with comfortable beds and a lovely view to wake up to each morning while we had our breakfast. Truly the view at the pension is what Biei represents and this is what you are paying for as the rates are rather expensive for a pension accommodation. However, it was a very memorable experience to live in the countryside and the hosts were warm...
