Domyo-ji Temmangu — Attraction in Fujiidera

Domyoji Tenmangu Shrine, located in Domyoji, Fujiidera City, Osaka Prefecture, is a shrine with a history of over 1400 years. It venerates Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning; Amanohohino Mikoto　, the god of industry and agriculture; and Kakuju-ni, Sugawara no Michizane's aunt, making it a shrine of great historical significance. The shrine grounds are known for their 800 plum trees of 80 different varieties, making it a famous spot for plum blossoms. Although the "Ume Matsuri" (Plum Festival) is held from February to mid-March each year, we visited a bit early to see the plum blossoms.

The blossoms were not in full bloom yet, but small, charming flowers had begun to bloom, spreading a surprisingly gentle and sweet fragrance throughout the shrine grounds.

An amazing experience to see this in mid March. Is like a compact version of Osakatenmangu's plum bonsais and Osakajo plum grove. 菅原道真すがわらのみちざね　生まれ845年8月1日死去903年3月26日福岡県大宰府市 菅原 道真は、日本の平安時代の貴族、学者、漢詩人、政治家。参議・菅原是善の三男。官位は従二位・右大臣。贈正一位・太政大臣。 忠臣として名高く、宇多天皇に重用されて、寛平の治を支えた一人であり、醍醐朝では右大臣にまで上り詰めたが、藤原時平の讒言により、大宰府へ大宰員外帥として左遷され現地で没した。 菅原道真公（すがわらのみちざね）は、平安時代に活躍した貴族、学者、政治家、漢詩人で、学問の神様として親しまれています。 菅原道真公は、幼少期から学業に励み、5歳で和歌を詠み、11歳で漢詩『月夜見梅花』を詠むなど優れた才能を発揮しました。政治家としても秀で、宇多天皇に重用され、右大臣にまで上り詰めます。しかし、左大臣の藤原時平の策謀により、大宰府に左遷され、59歳で生涯を閉じました。 菅原道真公は、学問や文化芸術、厄除けなどあらゆる人々の願いを叶える神様として慕われており、京都の北野天満宮や太宰府天満宮、全国の天満宮など、さまざまな場所で信仰の対象とされています。 菅原道真公の精神は「和魂漢才」の四文字に集約され、自国の歴史と文化に根差した確固とした誇りを持ちながら、他国の文化も受けいれる寛容さが特徴です。 菅原道真公と関わりのあるエピソードが現代まで伝えられており、梅、鷽、牛などは菅原道真公にちなむものとして天神社（天満宮）で崇拝されています。 藤原 道長　京都府京都市（ふじわら の みちなが、康保3年〈966年〉- 万寿4年12月4日〈1028年1月3日〉）は、平安時代中期の公卿。藤原北家、摂政関白太政大臣・藤原兼家の五男。後一条天皇・後朱雀天皇・後冷泉天皇の三帝の外祖父。
