Super Hotel Gotemba 1 — Attraction in Gotenba

It's far from Gotemba station - about 30 minutes walk. Super Hotel 2 was closer to the station though (about 15 minutes walk). You have to pay 1000yen for cab from the station to get here. And when it's 3degrees outside, you'd better pay for that cab ride. There's no bus to either hotels. ||||When you arrive at this hotel, the front desk will lead you to a machine where you make payment for your room and will be given a pass code. Then they will give the ladies 5 free gifts which you can choose from face mask, facial cleanser, mouth wash, foot mask etc. Next, you can choose the pillow (this is extra, they already provide pillows in the room though). ||||We got a room on the 8th floor. There's no key, you enter the room with the pass code. This hotel is really small so it's only good for a 1 night stay. Bed was hard, I couldn't really sleep. Bathroom was super small. They gave bathroom amenities. As for toothbrush, if you return it to the front desk, you will get a free gift. Tried to return the tooth brush but there was no one at the front desk! Super hotel 2 was also like this, so don't expect anyone to entertain you in the morning. Internet was free but there's only cable connection, no in-room wifi. Connection was very good though. If you insist, wifi is available at the lobby for free. The best about our room is that it faces Mount Fuji so it's really great to wake to such a majestic view. ||||Breakfast was free and there's quite a lot of choice. But beware! My wife and I stayed at the Super Hotel for 2 nights (Sunday and Monday). For 6,000 yen per night for two people, including breakfast, it was a "super" deal. The place was..."super" clean. Check in was easy (pay into a machine) and there are about 5 different pillows to choose from before you go up to your room. The hot spring is with natural water trucked in from a local hot spring. The bath was bigger than I thought it was going to be and very nice. The room was small but comfortable, and even had a couple of English channels to watch. Most of the upper-floor rooms have a pretty good view, too. As far as business hotels go, this was one of the better ones that I have been to. Breakfast was simple, but good.
