Nagisaen Camping Ground — Attraction in Hamamatsu

Best campsite I've been to in Japan so far, and I wish the other campsites were like this!

Fee is reasonable, and I did not need to book in advance. Just ¥410 for me and a bicycle. (Many other campsites in Japan are almost the same price as a cheap hotel, despite having no amenities or showers etc).

There are showers!! For some reason most other Japanese campsites don't have showers. They are ¥200 to use though.

The pitching area is nice flat grass.

There is an area for washing stuff (I was able to clean some of the dirt off my bicycle).

it's reasonably close to some built up areas, shops and so on.

like most Japanese campsites though, you have to take your own rubbish away with you, they don't provide bins.

Also watch out for the crows. They want your food and will tear open your rubbish bag to get it!

If you are a very light sleeper, well, be aware this is a bit close to the road, shinkansen and to the air force base so you might get some vehicle noise. It's not bad though.

It is near the sea so it could be windy.

渚園キャンプ場は、サザンオールスターズ、B'z、ONE OK ROCKなどのコンサート会場になっている浜名湖に面したキャンプ場です。

気になるトイレはきれいです。浜名湖がまわりを囲んでおり、簡単な釣りや海水浴も楽しめます。

マツコの知らない世界で紹介された、浜名湖の湖上を通過する、舘山寺のロープウェイや浜松市動物園も近く、まわりには魚を楽しめる食事処も数多くあります。かきの時期は『かきかば丼』、『はも』、もちろん『うなぎ』が楽しめますよ。私のおすすめは、ちょっと車で30分くらいのところにあるうなぎ料理店『加和奈』がおすすめです。同じくらいの距離にある浜松餃子の店『浜太郎』もおすすめです！ちょっと贅沢においしい魚を食べたいときは、車で25分くらい走ると『鮓 樹(すし いつき)』(西区大平台)で、ふきよせ寿司(おいしく、おしゃれ海鮮丼)を楽しむのも、おすすめです！平日ランチの握り寿司は4000円です。ちょっと贅沢なこだわりのお寿司が食べれます。要予約なので、事前に電話してください。Instagramで配信しています。 近くにはイオン志都呂店があるので、キャンプグッズや食材の買い出しにも便利です。
