「蜆塚遺跡」は国の史跡にも指定されている縄文時代の貝塚を中心とした遺跡です。 昔は太平洋の海岸線がこの辺りまであって、名前の通りにシジミが多く取れたみたいです。復元された貝塚の地層が公開されていますが(とても珍しい施設です)確かにシジミの貝殻が多いイメージでした。(ちなみに遺跡のゆるキャラもシジミモチーフです) 遺跡内には貝塚跡が多数残っています。今は起伏に富んだ丘地形ですが、縄文時代は森も海岸も近くて意外に住みやすい環境だったのかもしれません。 また縄文住居も多数復元してあり、中に自由に出入り出来ます。マサに縄文時...
