As per blogs I went there without reservations.. but they didn’t allow to do the barbecue.. there are two side in the river. West and east side . The east side is close to road .. west side is Near to woods . West side barbecue reservations is required but east side not… they did not allow to do the barbecue and gas stove also in the east side as well but we can see they allowed the gas cooking for Japanese people in the east side.. but they did not allow us very strange .. never seen such behavior from Japanese people.. it’s very sunny and hot the east side .. there is no shade . Finally kids came back without prepared food .. not recommended for barbecue atleast.. and very narrow road to take car near to spot. Two cars can’t go in parallel. Read moreFirst of all must say this it’s mentioned that ticket free. But in the entrance they charge 1800¥ from us. And also you are a Sri Lankan mind it they are not allowing sounds. We didn’t see the notice. So we put our JBL in a very low. Because my baby slept in that time. Very near Japanese people enjoyed it. But a man who saw us on vehicle park that we are caring our JBL has complained to the office about that. And he came to fight with us even. I thought that all Japanese are friendly but got to know that there are some who don’t like other nations. But as we are Sri Lankans we treat very friendly for other tourists in my country. If you are being there you will know that.

Read moreThis riverbank has plenty of space for families to spend the day. The bank is wide and you can easily pitch a tent or spread your mat while kids play in the shallow side of the river. For the more adventurous, there's also a deeper side with stronger currents. BBQ is allowed on the main bank but not on the smaller islands and please be sure to bring home your trash. The river is mostly clean but I found various items like canned drinks, beer bottles and even a portable stove! That aside, a trip here would definitely be recommended...
