MOOMIN VALLEY PARK — Attraction in Hanno

Yesterday i visited with my family moomin park . I am so glad because of when I was child .that time my favorite cartoon . So that I am very excited to see their place and them . All people are kindly .they show me kindly behavior .moomin ,rat .moominfather are kindly behavior show me . She is very excited to see them and capture photo with them .their behavior is normal .they catch her hand show good behavior like same behavior with different person .moomins girlfriend snork misbehaved with my family . When sẽ run the garden and capture photo with all Japanese people . Me and my daughter wait for capture photo she ignore us .she catch hands Japanese people child . She ignore my daughter . That time I think there are manny people so that sẽ didnot see us . Iam waiting for capture photo at 5 :15pm .around Snork came out of the curtain. That time few people there she catch another hand and capture photo .kindly behavior with them . Guider tell us wait line by line . We are waiting 30 minutes she ignore us manny time my daughter trying to catch her hand she ignore us .that time only few people there . She ran away with those who were far away. and catch their hand capture photo. Still waiting to capture to photo with her she totally ignored with us .my daughter and me feel embarrassed. Highlight of my japan trip! I'm visiting from America, and so happen to be In the country for Moomin's Day on August 9th. I was very overstimulated with the hustle and bustle of tokyo, and moomin valley park was a nice relaxing and refreshing change. As a forienger, I'm happy with the accomidations made to cater to english speakers like me in the park. English text on signs and a English map to navigate the moomin house.

The staff were wonderful! I was in the post office when all my coins fell out of my wallet due to a hole. The cashier lady was quick thinking and taped up the hole in my wallet, I was very impressed!

there are some changes I would like to see with the website however. I like how there is an English version of the website but payment for special things were difficult to say the least. The English website only accepts payment through apple pay, in which I had to ask a friend to buy the ticket for me because I do not have an iPhone. I wanted to also get a ticket for the direct shuttle bus from shinjuku and a paid firework seat but the website seemed to be japanese only. I couldn't see the "moomin papa memiors" show because it was sold out and I wasn't quite sure where to buy a ticket for that. Overall the English is good inside the park, the website could use a little more in my opinion.

I came on a rainy day, so there were alot of things canceled like the zip line, but for a park with no rides, i had a suprisingly fun time! Great for a little get away...

The park is tucked far back into the park so be ready for a walk into the gate for the park proper. The walk however is beautiful and there are plenty of views on the way in. Also be aware that if you are disabled and need a disability device that there is a priority shuttle that you can ask for since there is a steep hill at the entrance to the area. They only will take the disabled person so you may need to walk the device down the hill and down to the park gate. For the return trip, you should speak to the park staff or the information center staff at the bottom of the hill. This helped our group immensely.

The park itself is beautiful with many picture points and even many of the characters coming out to dance and take pictures with everyone. The Moomin House and the small outdoor displays are the highlight of the trip. They also have a cafe and a restaurant that offer themed food and drinks. We suggest you try the Cheese Balls if you have the chance. They are sweet and savory in just the right balance. For dessert we suggest you try Mama Moomin’s Cream Puff which has apples in it.

The gift shop is just across from the restaurant and is filled with all sorts of goods and souvenirs. Near the stairs in the back are also some Gatcha machines so don’t miss those. There is a change machine for ¥500, ¥5000, and ¥1000 so don’t worry if you haven’t saved up...
