Hirosaki Castle Sannomaru Ōtemon Gate — Attraction in Hirosaki

This is the first time I came to Hirosaki Castle to see the cherry blossom festival there. I came there at the end of April, and it was the right time to come there, because at that time the Sakura flowers around the castle were blooming and looked very beautiful with the color pink at the same time. Flowers dangling long on tree branches and it is very beautiful to the eye.

Quite a lot of people came there, even though at that time there were restrictions due to the newly emerging Covid-19 in Japan. In addition to local tourists, there were also many foreign tourists from various countries there, and there were a lot of Americans at that time because in Aomori, precisely in Misawa, there was one of the US Air Force bases. So the scenery there at that time did not look like in Japan, but looked like in America(my American friend say like this lol) because American tourists dominated local tourists at that time. Maybe at that time it was a weekend so many people came there to enjoy the cherry blossoms, even at night the scenery there was more interesting because there were many decorative lights that were lit around the gardens and castles, so many people spent the night there and stayed at the nearest hotel. Regarding culinary, don't worry because there are also many standing Japanese food stalls that we can buy and eat while enjoying the beautiful cherry blossoms and the price is quite affordable.

Admission is 310 yen for the Castle Museum or 510 yen for a combined ticket with the Botanical Garden. A single entrance ticket to the Botanical Garden is 250 yen.

Admission is charged only from April 1-November 23. The castle keep is closed during winter from November 24 to March 31.
