Saishōin Temple — Attraction in Hirosaki

We went to the Hirosaki cherry blossom festival and stopped by here on our way out of town. It is beautiful. The cherry blossoms were out, the temple and pagoda were amazing and the guardian is a rabbit plus there is this amazing dragon inside as well. This is well worth the stop but if you are driving there are only 4 spaces so you may need to park elsewhere if you are not lucky enough to get one of the free stops. Also the admission was about 150 yen per person which I was happy to pay knowing it would be used towards the upkeep of this...

Visited during peak autumn colors and it was gorgeous. The grounds were glowing in reds and golds, and the whole temple felt calm and carefully kept. I loved the quiet paths and the soft sound of leaves underfoot.

It was peaceful with very few people, so I could sit and take it all in. Come early if you can for gentle light and even more silence. A beautiful, serene stop that...

青森県弘前市銅屋町に境内を構える、最勝院、以前参拝しましたのでどの様な寺院か引用を用いて調べて見ました、山号は金剛山、寺号、院号は最勝院、宗旨は新義真言宗、宗派は真言宗智山派、ご本尊は金剛界、大日如来、東北三十六不動尊霊場、十五番札所、北国八十八ヵ所霊場、第五十九番札所、津軽八十八ヵ所霊場、だい四十九番札所、津軽弘法大師霊場一番札所、 仁王門と仁王像、東北一の美塔と言われ、国指定重要文化財、五重塔の景観素晴らしい寺院、四季の彩合いで一層美しさが増します、仁王像その御尊像は2017年秋、阿形仁王像の左眼球落下により、修復への長い道のりが始まり、阿形・吽形共に目のみならず、全身崩壊の可能性が高いことが判明し、当初の眼球修理から躯（からだ）全体の解体修理をするという、重い判断がなされた、368年という大変古い歴史を示す大発見があり、運慶の流れを汲む仏師が造ったことも明らかとなる。これを受け、単なる修理ではなく、制作当初の姿に戻す、復旧・修復修理へと舵が切られることとなった。 (素晴らしい)と絶賛される力強い背中と、甦った(厳しくも優しい眼差し)の仁王像は、2023年春に本堂内での特別公開、元の仁王門に遷座となる。 1532年（天文1）春、弘信僧都(ひろのぶそうず)が陸奥(むつ)国（青森県）平賀郡堀越に3宇の伽藍(がらん)を造営したのに始まる。1612年（慶長17）弘前藩2代藩主津軽信枚(のぶひら)が弘前城下に弘前八幡宮(はちまんぐう)を創建したおり、当院はその別当寺となった。弘前藩の真言五山の筆頭として寺領300石を与えられた。明治維新のとき八幡宮と分離し大円寺跡（現在地）へ移転したと在ります、歴史的建造物、仏閣、仏像、神社巡り、パワースポット、絶景、景色撮影、癒し処、東北三十六不動尊巡り、散策、東北三十六不動尊巡り、北國八十八ヵ所巡り、観音霊場諸願成就、祈願、青森県...
