i really enjoyed my visit to hokuei. i was unprepared for rural japan, but everyone there was very nice. conan bridge was an easy walk from the train station and provided some nice views of the river and the sunset. the statues on conan bridge were also very cool!

It was under construction, so the experience wasn't so complete. It's really far from the station. And there's no stores or house on the way. Do have some innovative things...
