Kiyoharu Art Colony — Attraction in Hokuto

Very nice worker helped me get a taxi back since there's no bus and I can't use my phone to call the taxi company myself with my international data plan. The buildings are very interesting. I'm still a little confused about the history of the museum and founders and vision, and not just because there is not much information in English.. the Japanese seems vague too. I feel like I'll have to do some independent research, lol. I did learn that the round building was built after a design from the Eiffel tower architect and built in the 1970s(?) for the artists. I actually thought it was an old dairy building from earlier, lol.. as it looks a little bit like dairy facilities in my country and also there are some historic dairy farms in the region. Interesting place if you are into fine art and the like. Various small art museums mainly of Japanese artists, but there is the Rouault Chapel that has some of his works. There is an entrance fee, but the cherry blossoms are very beautiful...
