北アルプス展望美術館 (池田町立美術館) — Attraction in Ikeda

Lovely little art museum set in the hills with beautiful lawns, interesting exhibits and a small gift shop - well worth a visit even just for the views and a stroll around the gardens! This is the kind of place that seems to (sadly) have few visitors but which offers a valuable space to highlight the arts and Japanese artists. There are two main exhibition rooms and two smaller rooms, and you have the option to pay for either (discounts available for younger patrons). A gift shop sells local arts and crafts, including post cards, art supplies, handcrafted jewelry and bags etc. Although the exhibition areas are small each included detailed explanations of the artists and their works (Japanese only). As well as the art museum itself, a key attraction is the gardens, which offer beautiful views over the town below and the Japan alps in the distance. There are plenty of benches nestled under the trees where you can relax and take in the view, and a small pond. A plus for me was that our visit was in the summer, so the air was buzzing with crowds of Dragon flies and bumble bees enjoying the lavender. When you have finished your visit, the museum is close to a children's play area and a highly rated traditional soba restaurant! 安曇野出身者の特設展が組まれているという新聞記事を見て、行った見ました。とにかく会場からの西の山々の眺めは素晴らしい。碌山がなくなって以降に鋳造された灰皿の展示がありました。灰皿自体は小さくてあまりよくわかりませんでしたが、その灰皿について碌山が慕っていた黒光が語っていた文章が展示されていました。いわゆる逸話です。とても興味深く拝聴しました。また「盧溝橋事件」という従軍画家をされていた人の絵が飾られていました。とても暗くしかし緊迫した状況が書かれていました。しかし私は、戦争の美化につながるような感じがして、よい印象は持てませんでした。「盧溝橋事件」の右に兵士の絵も展示されていましたが、同様に感じました。裸婦像（数点）についても雑な感じを受けました。 特設展では、知らなかった人のことがわかるように記載してあって、よかったです。 ただ会館の人に申し上げたいですが、絵画について、水平に展示されていません。右・左が数㎜からものによっては10㎜以上も傾いていて、鑑賞に堪えないものもありました。とても基本的なところだと思うので、ぜひ改善してほしいです。 常設展の中で、武井清という方の絵画が多く展示されており、その中でも「蝶ヶ岳から見た槍ヶ岳」という作品はものすごく迫力があり、釘付けになりました。まだ新しい所蔵ということで、絵葉書やパンフレット等になっていません。常設展は写真撮影はできないので、と...
