Ino-Cho Paper Museum — Attraction in Ino

Such an awesome experience to make this from pulp to paper. We loved especially how it was fully hands on .. you watch the instructor then follow yourself. The whole thing took less than 10mins and it was dry in30mins.during this time we explored the gallery which was extremely informative and has English available. After you get your postcard make sure to stop and apply some cool Japanese stamps...

Arrived early and there was no one else there. The guide was super friendly and could speak English. The paper making experience was great too, lasting about 10 minutes with a 30 minute wait for the paper to dry, which you can use to tour the museum (about 45 min). An old lady also makes individual pieces of tosa paper which are sold. I heard she has been working as a paper maker...

Beautiful museum to buy Japanese paper and try making traditional paper yourself. I love coming here and seeing all the different varieties of washi paper. But making washi paper here is also a novel and exciting experience! Anyone who is interested in traditional Japanese craft should...
