Sugimoto Shrine — Attraction in Ino

Although this shrine's name is Sugimoto Shrine, locally it is known as Daikoku-san. Daikoku is Done of the Shichi-fuku-jin Seven Lucky Gods and is the god of wealth and the god that looks out for farmers. You can see images of him attached to most of the light posts in Ino.

There is a big festival celebrating Daikoku in early spring every year and I visited a few days before while the place was being decorated for the big event. 「いのの大黒さま」として大変親しまれている神社です。 創建1200年以上という歴史のある場所で、春と秋に大祭があり土佐の三大祭りの一つとして大勢の人で賑わいます。

境内は手入れが行き届き、適度な日陰もありとても居心地が良かったです。 今日はふらっと立ち寄りましたが、和紙の鯉のぼりなどが飾られていて季節を感じることができました。

境内で手入れをされていた方がとても親切で少しお話をする事もできました。 また、私が写真撮影をする為にわざわざ覆いを外してくれたり、大変お世話になりました。ありがとうございました。 (20...
