scenery and view: Open horizon, tranquil blue water, unique rocks forming shapes in the sea… but wayyy too hot. Beautiful view but I did not stay long
Recommendation: Ideal for travelers seeking a secluded natural spot for swimming, casual walks, and underwater coral exploration. The rock-arranged "stone dock" in the water gives a special identity to this coast—perfect for those wanting something different from busier tourist beaches. It's particularly suitable for swimmers and snorkelers, with calm, shallow waters protected by the reef. However, bring water shoes for comfort, as the shore is rocky and coral pieces abound. Sunbathers and those preferring pristine sand may wish to try other beaches, but nature lovers and families will find the peaceful vibe appealing.
Overall review Reaching Shiraho Beach requires a walk down a village road, adding a quaint touch to the adventure. The signature stone dock forms a distinct view not seen elsewhere, making this spot memorable if only for its scenery and the quiet sound of gentle waves. Facilities are limited and there's some beach debris, which affects the overall impression. Local charm shines through, though the place is more raw than polished—best enjoyed as a swimming spot or for those intrigued by native coral reefs. A true slice...
Read moreMixed feelings about the beach. On one hand you can swim close to where the toilets are, but there is not much to see snorkeling wise- the water was murky, the fish were shy, coral was here and there and not interesting, mostly dying. To actually see something you have to swim far far far into the sea. If you move to the left (closer towards the airport) its a bit easier to reach a more interesting part, but it's "not allowed" to swim there, as it is supposed to be a protected area, which would be fine, if there weren't fisherman, if there weren't tour boats doing trips... The whole beach really is quite dirty, with garbage and plastic everywhere. It's a shame noone cleans up and cares more about the beach.
For snorkelling definitely recommend...
Read moreA very quiet breach near a residential area. It has a lot of coral and perfect for a stroll along the beach. Picturesque and beautiful, we stayed here for an hour before our flight as it was close to the airport. The kids were very happy to look at the collection of coral and shells on the beach. There are four very small parking spaces and it fills up quickly, but the beach is...
