Shun Ya Banchan — Restaurant in Ishigaki

Great Japanese style breakfast and lunch place. The cafe is located near the water in Shiraho. The food is traditional, and comes in small dishes. The breakfast is 1000 yen and lunch is 1500 and comes with desert. They are famous for their light sponge cake, which you can also purchase whole. It's extremely popular, so come early for breakfast (by 11:30 am) or call in to make a reservation especially if you have a large group. The place closes when they run out of ingredients. Google maps will navigate you to a street near by and not to the entrance of the cafe, so be prepared to look for it. It's actually on a road that is not on the map. Our third day on the island and this is by far the biggest "Wow!" for us. The setting is comfortable and relaxing with jazz music playing on the background. Awesome food from appetizers to dessert. The baked tuna was cooked perfectly. I had reservations about fish being cooked for a long time but, being a food daredevil, decided to try the simmered fish as the second main course. What a pleasant surprise! It was tender and flavorful. The staff was also very polite, attentive and helpful. And Hazuki made the scene perfect with her patience and helpfulness and lovely smiles. 2023,12　前回の訪問ですっかりファンになったので、今回の旅行では「絶対にまた食べたい！」と思い事前予約をしての再訪です。飛行機が到着する時間が10時を過ぎるのでランチになりますが、朝食を抜いて挑みます！(笑) 店舗手前に広い駐車場があります。注意書もあるので、順序良く綺麗に駐車しましょう。メニューは１つ。分かりやすい！！メイン３つの内２つをチョイスしてのオーダー。店内をキョロキョロしていると運ばれて来るだし巻き玉子が揺れているように見える。テーブルにお盆が置かれた時にプルプルって揺れただし巻きたまごに感動。提供を待っている他のお客さんの視線をだし巻き玉子は集める。だし巻き玉子は口の中での前にお箸でふわとろを感じ、同じ感触を口の中でも感じる。。。。幸せだぁ～。 おだしの味がやさしく口の中に広がるのでそのままでも十分美味しいのですが、更にご飯の上に乗せて出汁醤油を掛けてパクりとしても幸せです。 主人とお肉とお魚の1品ずつメインを変えてオーダーしたのでどちらも味わえてこれまた幸せ。今回はお魚がとってもおいしかったぁ～。 デザートに合わせてパッションジュースも追加しましたが、これも絶品。 お支払はニコニコ現金払いの他にクレジットカードや電子マネー等も使えるから便利です。このだし巻き玉子を食べる為に石垣島に行った旅行です。

2019,03　飛行機で石垣島に到着し、レンタカーを借りて直ぐにこちらのお店に向かいました。お店手前に広い駐車場があり、止めているうちに数台のレンタカーが続々と来ます。急いでお店に行くと「予約されてますか？」と聞かれ真っ青に！「して無いんですが・・・」と答えると「入口横の狭いお席しか空いて無いので、狭くてもいいですか」と言ってもらえ、入店出来ました。後から来ていたレンタカー、皆さん予約済みだった様です。 メニューの説明を受け、６種類あるおかずから２種類選ぶらしいのですが、どれも美味しそうだったので、プラス料金でおかずが追加出来るとの事で、１人３品、２人で６種類全部のおかずをオーダーしてみました。食後にデザートが付くようですが、ドリンクは別との事で、川平ファームのパッションフルーツジュースを追加。
