Itoshima's Totoro Forest — Attraction in Itoshima

Totoro’s Forest is a serene escape that delights both nature lovers and fans of Studio Ghibli's as it does resemble the forest. The forest trails, lined with camellia trees shaped by the sea breeze, further enhance the whimsical atmosphere. However, it is just a small stretch and most part of it I'd about enjoying the short hike up to the viewing platform for the panoramic view of the bay.

This is a short detour if you are in Iseshima area and waiting to see the meiowa rocks during sunset. The forest is named totoro coz it is a maze tunnel like forest, just like the totoro forest in the ghibli animation. Nothing much to shout about to be honest, but you can get great ocean views from some hidden spots in the forest. The Itoshima Totoro no Mori is in Keyano-oto Park where about 48 minutes drive from Hakata station along Shima Sunset Road in Itoshima Visited during Saturday where many tourist from domestic.
