Totoro’s Forest is a serene escape that delights both nature lovers and fans of Studio Ghibli's as it does resemble the forest. The forest trails, lined with camellia trees shaped by the sea breeze, further enhance the whimsical atmosphere. However, it is just a small stretch and most part of it I'd about enjoying the short hike up to the viewing platform for the panoramic view of the bay.

This is a short detour if you are in Iseshima area and waiting to see the meiowa rocks during sunset. The forest is named totoro coz it is a maze tunnel like forest, just like the totoro forest in the ghibli animation. Nothing much to shout about to be honest, but you can get great ocean views from some hidden spots in the forest. Its a bit smelly but i am not sure why...not an unpleasant smell just not your usual forest smell..maybe its the...

The Itoshima Totoro no Mori is in Keyano-oto Park where about 48 minutes drive from Hakata station along Shima Sunset Road in Itoshima Visited during Saturday where many tourist from domestic. 2025年10月11日(土)訪問 糸島の「トトロの森」は、まるでジブリの世界に迷い込んだような幻想的な場所でした。 芥屋の大門公園内の遊歩道を進むと、木々がアーチのように道を覆い、光が差し込む瞬間はまさに映画のワンシーンのよう。 歩く距離は短めですが、自然の息づかいを感じながら静かに散策できて癒されます。 展望台からは玄界灘の絶景が広がり、潮風が心地よいです。 無料駐車場もあり、アクセスも良好。カメラ片手にゆっくりできます。
