Moto-Yakushi-ji Temple Ruins, Nationally Designated Special Historic Site — Attraction in Kashihara

First of all, the Google maps directions are not correct, they will lead you down the footpath between rice fields and not to the actual site itself, the path that leads to the temple site is approximately 25 m away and is marked by a brown Landmark sign.

The site is not large, it's small. It is ruins behind a small existing temple and a whole. We have to remember that this is a historic site, and is not necessarily a huge sightseeing spot will stop. That being said, I came in April and four large cherry blossom trees on site were quite beautiful, it has a nice peaceful feel to it and might hold interest to anyone...

2023.04.28。 今年も、ホテイアオイの植え付けはしないようです。 今後については、橿原市のホームページを見ても詳細は明らかになっていません。 昨年は “植え付け中止” を 知らせる看板が出ていましたが、今年・５月の段階では、それすら見当たりません。 もはや、ホテイアオイの名残りや気配すらない状況です。

最近の投稿で、ホテイアオイが見られるかのような内容が有ったので、実地に確認して参った次第です (..)_

私の記憶が正しければ 2019年の秋が最後に、花の植え付けは行われていません。 それまでは、ホテイアオイを観るために、毎年訪れていました。

シニアの写真クラブの定番スポットになっており、複数の団体を見かけることも有ります。 そんなこんなで、被写体としては撮り尽くされている印象もあります。 なんとか『オリジナリティに富む写真』を撮りたいと願って訪れてみますが、なかなか、ゆっくり・じっくりとは撮れない雰囲気です (-。-;)

でも、ホテイアオイは綺麗だし 田んぼを渡る風も心地良いし、訪ねる価値は大アリ...
