Yumemigasaki Zoological Park — Attraction in Kawasaki

The cages are small, dirty, boring, and not suitable for the animals. Most of the birds can’t fly, some of the animals hand wounds on them, walked in circles from boredom, had dirty water or no water at all. The floors are often just concrete or packed dirt with no green. It was a but warm in mid-may but I imagine in the summer the animals must be incredibly hot with no shade, no water, and enclosed in plastic with no fresh air or wind. Tiny zoo, zebra, some deer and goats, larmas, and few birds and monkey types. Giant tortoise penguins, flamingo, meerkat, racoon, tanuki, and a few other animals.

It is located in a large Park with many cats. There are basic toilets and vending machines maybe a snack stand in summer. Not much else there.

But it is free and the animals are cute. It is a very good place to spend the afternoon with a young child. 5 or 6 might be the maximum age as another they might soon get bored. There are nice benches and tables around for picnics and there is also a largish temple...

It only has a few animals 🦓 🐼 🐐 🐴 🐿️ , birds 🦩 🦜 🦅 🐧 and reptiles 🐢 ... But it's free! Great place to bring young kids who might not have seen many animals in real life. After the excitement of seeing the animals they can play in the tiny park area while the parents relax on some seating. Besides the animals there are also a variety of temples, plenty of vending machines (included different パン 🍞 and ice cream 🍦), at least 3 toilets buildings, and a sculpture.
