Textile Museum "Yukari" — Attraction in Kiryu

They have a museum with the history of textiles and looms essentially. Next to this is an area where you can experience indigo dying. Finally, theres a working factory which produes all sorts of textiles, you can go inside and watch the looms work (its very noisy). There's also a shop which sells really affordable and beautiful fabric products, as well as indigo dyed things. Well...

Wonderful living museum - staff went out of their way to explain the process of weaving silk and dying fabric - with their limited English and our very limited Japanese we managed to learn so much and tried to weave ourselves. Lovely...
