Okamoto Park (Plum Garden) — Attraction in Kobe

The destination is Southern slope and we must rise up 15 minutes effort from Hankyu Okamoto ST., some wheelchair user will a bit difficulty to get there. Sea and Bridge should be considered to shoot Plum blossom as behind, the location is limited. The degree of blooming is around 50% slower than usual, shooting location was over in 30 minutes. 岡本梅林公園は、神戸市東灘区岡本６丁目の住宅街の中にある公園です。 昔は有数の梅の名所だったようですが、昭和十三年の災害や戦災で梅の木が消滅してしまったようです。 しかし、神戸市が岡本梅林を記念し『岡本公園』として、その一部を復活整備し、現在に至るようです。 今では、梅の見頃の２月中旬～３月中旬頃には梅を見る人で賑わっているようです。 次回は梅の季節に是非立ち寄りたい場所です。

なお、案内板に下記のような説明文が書かれていました。

昔から、「梅は岡本、桜は吉野、みかん紀の国、栗丹波」と唄われた岡本梅林の起源は明確でないが、山本梅崖の 『岡本梅林記』に羽柴秀吉の来訪が記されているところよりかなり古くから存在していたようである。 寛政十年(1798)には『摂津名所図会』に岡本梅林の図が登場する程盛んとなった。

明治維新後は、国学者大国隆正が、「岡本の梅とききつつ来てみれば梅の中なる岡本の里」と詠じているように全村の各戸に梅の木を植え、増田太郎右衛門所有の約３ヘクタールの梅林をはじめとして、相当広い範囲にわた...
