We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Fujiclair Winery. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Eriko Mochizuki, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. Despite the language barrier—her English was limited and our Japanese even more so—she was incredibly accommodating and made every effort to ensure we enjoyed ourselves.

Eriko guided us through a tasting of all the wines available, and her kindness and enthusiasm made the experience all the more memorable. It was our first time trying Japanese wine, and we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious each one was.

The tasting room offers a stunning view of the valley, making it a perfect backdrop for savoring the different wines. Eriko even invited us on a behind-the-scenes tour of the bottling process, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

To top it off, after a short stroll around the area, we returned to find a surprise gift from Eriko left on our car—such a thoughtful gesture that truly touched us.

We highly recommend visiting Fujiclair Winery and asking for Eriko—she’s an absolute gem and made our visit...

My mom, sister and I were driving around exploring because we had time to kill before checking into our Airbnb. We first spotted the winery from afar and wanted to go see what it was because it was very large form the outside overlooking the vineyard. We parked in front and first was greeted by 2 women that were very friendly and sweet, Eriko and another girl. They did not speak much English but were very accommodating with gesturing and small comments. Even with the language barrier they wanted to about us and where we were from. We then did a few tastings and they even gave us a snack while there. The tasting room is also next to their shop with a bunch of different varieties and stories. After deciding to buy 4 bottles because we couldn’t decide which one was the best, we were then created by the CEO, Kanta, who was very friendly and nice. He was very happy that we liked the wine and even gave us each a glass for free as a gift.

The wine was absolutely amazing and the people were the most friendliest people I have ever met in any country. They even helped us carry our wine to our...

Went to this chateau without any preparation and got warmly welcomed by Eriko. She nicely introduced all 6 wines available for tasting. Luckily it was not crowded because of weekday so can get the perfect photo spot. And then we talked about the aroma of the wine and the pain of preparing for the wine exam. Before I left, I had the chance to visit the factory where the stainless steel tanks for fermentation operate and bottling took place. It's truly a warmful and insightful experience. And their natural...
