琵琶湖博物館水族展示室 — Attraction in Kusatsu

Impressive displays and exhibitions, especially for a lake-specific museum! I’d give it five stars but there isn’t a lot of English signage (there is a bilingual Pocket Curator app?) and the seal exhibit needs to be eliminated - it is extremely small and the lone seal is obviously not...

A great aquarium / museum combo. Lots of wildlife from the area around Biwa (both alive and taxidermied). As well as historical displays.

This place is deceptively large so budget about 2 hours to enjoy it properly. Lots of kids activities.

And the park around it as well offers lovely...

Nice place to visit. This place is in Lake Biwa Museum. You can see the fishes that live in Lake Biwa. You don’t need to pay extra charge to visit this place if you have Lake Biwa Museum ticket.
